Zack Bissell

THE ARCHITECT

01 __THE ARTIST

Zack Bissell is a DJ, producer, and performance director building narrative-driven electronic music experiences.

02 __THE STAGE

Before the booth, there was the stage: years spent in professional theatre learning how bodies move through light, how timing controls emotion, how an audience can be guided without realizing they're being guided at all. That training never left. It just migrated.

03 __THE METHOD

He approaches DJing like a director approaches a scene. Structure first. Tension with intent. Release that means something. A set isn't a playlist; it's a long-form composition designed to unfold in real time. Tracks are cast, transitions are blocking, and the room becomes the story engine.

04 __THE RANGE

Rooted in house, techno, and left-field electronic music, Zack's performances are built as authored journeys. Some are club sets. Some become filmed works. Some expand into larger narrative environments that live online and evolve over time.

MUSIC AS ARCHITECTURE,
NOT DECORATION.
05 __THE PRACTICE

He works across performance, sound design, and digital world-building, developing projects that blur the line between DJ set, installation, and cinematic experience. Whether in a club, a black-box theatre, or a browser window, the goal is consistent — create something that feels constructed, intentional, and worth returning to.

06 __THE CREDENTIAL

A graduate of the Pete Tong DJ Academy (with a perfect score on his final video submission), Zack performs across club and warehouse spaces while continuing to develop long-form works and immersive releases that extend beyond the dance floor.

"What happens when DJing is treated as authorship instead of selection?"

THE LAB OBSIDIAN ECOSYSTEM

Five wings. One directive: Sound is couture, art is movement, culture is forged.
